Independent Samples T-Test

The independent two-sample t-test is used to test whether the unknown population means of two groups are equal.

Assumptions and Prerequisites

Requires continuous dependent variables, categorical independent grouping variables with two levels, normality of distributions, and homogeneity of variance.

Running the Test in Clustey

Select your group column and target metric in the analysis modal. Clustey automatically runs Levene's test and selects the appropriate Student's or Welch's t-test.

Interpreting Effect Size

Evaluate Cohen's d alongside the t-statistic and confidence interval to assess practical significance.
